Timber Windows, Why choose wood?

Hardwood double glazed windows

Custom made timber hardwood windows

The first I would ask you to consider is the type of property you have. It is important to remember that windows are the “face of the house.” In Conservation Areas the type of windows used may be dictated by local planning restrictions. However wood is a versatile material enabling you to custom build your windows to suit (bespoke) your property and preference. If your home is traditional or modern timber windows can be built to perfectly match. Wooden windows perfectly combine with parquet flooring, timber doors and of course timber furniture.
Wooden windows are available in a variety of materials such as mahogany, cherry, oak, douglas fir and pine. Each timber has its own unique properties and your timber window manufacturer can explain the different options. Wood windows are popular for their longevity, versatility and effective insulating qualities.

Box sash windows

Good morning,

This is the first real post on the new site. The site has been up and running for a few weeks now and we are getting some positive feedback. The site looks clean, is easy to get around and our contact details are clear and simple. I am loving the gallery. In the lightbox format the examples of the joinery works look fantastic. We welcome your comments on any of the works we display.

So what have we been up to.

At the moment we are finishing off an order for Vast construction. This consists of constructing box frame sash windows.
